Year 2008

August

Five of the Guanya’s English and German teachers were selected to be translators for the Olympic Games events conducted in Shenyang. During the Games, the professional, enthusiastic and patient attitude employed by our teachers towards the translation work involved made a good impression on the audience and foreign reporters covering the events. The committee of the Olympic Games praised our teachers for their efforts during this time.

Guanya’s foreign teacher, Mr. Jeremy won the award of “Liaoning’s Best Professional - Foreigner Hononary Prize” from the provincial government of Liaoning. This was the 3rd time a Guanya foreign teacher had won the award. The other prizes were won in 2006 by Mr. Ivan and 2007 by Mr. Kevin and Ms. Alison

Guanya made a significant donation to children suffering in poverty so that they could take their examinations.

Year 2007

A convention (“Assembly to commend the Advanced School”) was held to commend those schools that had provided excellent service during this period. It was organized by the Shenyang City Education Department. Guanya was awarded for it’s excellence in private school education (“The Excellent Advanced Private School of Shenyang City”) and our President, Mr. Hu Zhongwei, was awarded for his outstanding contribution to education (“Outstanding Advanced School Worker”). On that day, the Deputy Minister of the Education Department, Ms. Han Yanzi, cordially held a meeting session with our President to present the awards.

Our President, Mr. Hu Zhongwei, was selected to be a representative for Heping District at the 16th session of the National People’s Republic of China Congress. This was the 4th year he was selected as a representative.

October Guanya was honored by being selected as the “Shenyang Integrity Private Organisation and Advanced Self-Discipline Organization” and our president, Mr. Hu Zhongwei, was selected to be the “Advanced Individual”. This meant that Guanya was officially recognized as a trusted organization by the Chinese Government and Chinese society.

Year 2006

Guanya was elected the “Honor Brand in the Field Of Education Year 2006”. This prize was organized by “Hua Shang Chen Bao”, “Shi Dai Shang Bao”, Shenyang commerce and industry organizations and other media, who selected the 100 branded companies that have influenced people’s lifestyle in Shenyang.

Guanya was selected as the Shenyang Private School of the year (“Advanced Standardization Company”). Our President, Mr. Hu Zhongwei, also won a prize for his contribution to private education (“Outstanding Worker for Advanced Private School”).

Year 2004

At the 54th session of the Miss World Finals Competition, Guanya was the only foreign language training school that had been invited to do translation work during the competition.

Our president, Mr. Hu Zhongwei, was honored with the prize of “Shenyang 10th Outstanding Youth” for being a role model of the New Era Youth Entrepreneurs.

Guanya became authorized by ETS of the United States to be the 1st consultation center for TOIEC. Guanya is one of two selected examination centers in the North East region of China.

Year 2002

In the 1st stage of the National Youth English Speaking Competition, 4 of Guanya’s students won the special prize, 2 students won the National 1st standard prize and 8 students won the National 2nd standard prize. At the same time, Guanya was also awarded “Best organization” and “Outstanding Contribution” prizes at the competition.

Our president, Mr. Hu Zhongwei, was honored with the prize, “Year 2001 Shenyang Excellent Management for Foreigners” by the Division of Exit-Entry Administration of the Shenyang Municipal Public Security Bureau.

Year 2000　

Guanya was chosen by the Liaoning Department of Sport to be the official training center for Olympic athletes.

Guanya was appointed by Liaoning Television as the English language trainer for their emcee.
